  National sales Manager - Heathtech

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for building, managing, and driving a national sales team to achieve aggressive revenue targets. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in pharmaceutical sales, especially doctor-driven marketing, and a proven track record of scaling teams and meeting sales goals across multiple regions.

This is a high-ownership leadership role suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced startup environments

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute national sales strategies aligned with company growth plans.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer segments, and competitive landscape.
  • Drive doctor engagement, prescription generation, and territory penetration.

Team Building & Leadership

  • Set up a high-performing sales network across India (Zonal / Regional / Territory Teams).
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate field sales teams.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and enable teams to meet KPIs.

Revenue & Target Achievement

  • Own national sales targets and ensure consistent month-on-month growth.
  • Monitor sales performance, forecasting, and productivity metrics.
  • Ensure effective implementation of sales initiatives, promotional campaigns, and field execution.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Operations to support sales goals.
  • Provide on-ground feedback for product improvement and customer needs.
  • Build strong relationships with key doctors, hospitals, distributors, and KOLs.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and territory planning.
  • Ensure compliance with pharma sales regulations, ethical guidelines, and company policies.
  • Implement CRM systems, reporting processes, and sales dashboards.

Required Skills:

  • 8–15 years of pharmaceutical sales experience in India.
  • Strong background in doctor-focused sales and prescription-generation models.
  • Proven experience leading large regional or national teams.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving ambitious sales targets.
  • Experience working in fast-growing or startup environments is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently across India.
